I am here to listen, validate (and teach you how to validate yourself), show compassion, and help you sort out some of life’s challenges.
I am licensed, have been in practice for 8 years, and have worked in a variety of settings helping with a variety of issues.
I specialize in a type of hybrid therapy where I use psychodynamic theory (old school stuff about how you grew up) to inform us about how your past may be impacting your present; and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to come up with realistic solutions to what’s got you seeking therapy in the first place.
I hope to be viewed by you as a partner in figuring things out so you can feel empowered to face future challenges confidently (with or without me).
I also firmly believe therapy is important for all of us, so if you don’t think I am the right therapist for you, I will help you find a better fit. Likewise, if your issues are not my forté, I will work to find you the appropriate referral.
My main goal will always be to treat you with the respect I would want for myself. I am driven by my professional and personal ethics, and sense of responsibility that the trust you place in me is held with the utmost respect and care.
