Thank you for taking the time to read this profile. I understand what an important decision this is, in finding the right therapist that meets your needs. My hope is that I could be that counselor for you.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and have a degree in Licensed Professional Counselor from Liberty University. I choose Liberty because it offered a Christian and Secular perspective to counseling. I feel honored to offer two types of counseling for those who seek an alternative. While doing several internships, I discovered that I have a gift working with family dynamics, especially in the area of parenting, behavioral aspects and working with adolescents. Two other areas of strength are (1) helping those who have in a relationship and/or dealing with those who struggle with Narcissism and (2) those suffering from Anxiety.

My approach to counseling is centered on Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which focuses on changing current cognitive distortions and behaviors by teaching a person coping strategies to improve a better mental health and lifestyle. In addition to CBT, I find that Reality Therapy works well in the areas of parenting and child related issues.

My motto for a new counseling client is this, "I do not tell my clients what they want to hear, I will not lie and find the truth is best even if it hurts a bit. This is the optimum starting point in any new relationship."
