Raised from humble beginnings in El Sereno, I was called to social work at an early age. My hard-working parents instilled a strong work ethic in my early childhood as they sacrificed daily to provide for me. I was the kid that everyone wanted to confide in, and I delighted in being a loyal friend. I suppose my earliest experiences in life taught me the meaning of compassion, caring, and kindness – so becoming a social worker was just natural for me. I am happy to be part of The Healing Collective, PC Pasadena, California team. Over the past 20 years, my work has included providing service to the most vulnerable and underserved populations throughout Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley. I believe strongly in creating change through connection and strive to help others in purposeful ways. My treatment philosophy is based on my belief that there is no linear path to healing and that each person will experience healing differently. I seek to hear your unique story and work with you in determining your own personal goals. I help you to see your own worth and inner strength to increase resiliency and self-determination. My training includes a variety of modalities, although my approach to care is person-centered, strengths-based, and needs-driven. My areas of interest and expertise are in personal wellness (Certified Health and Well-being Coach), those who need assistance to thrive in the “Sandwich Generation,” and providing access to all Mujeres who need options in Español. You can expect warmth and acceptance mixed with openness and directness when working with me. We will work collaboratively throughout your treatment, and I will provide a safe space for you to begin your healing journey. I will use my clinical knowledge and experience to help you understand yourself and your life in new and meaningful ways.
