Hi, I'm Adriana! My name is Adriana Gonzalez and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Riverside, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I am dedicated to serving adolescents and their families and specialize in treating anxiety, stress, and behavioral health disorders using solution-focused and family-centered treatment to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I serve. I most frequently use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Multidimensional Family Therapy, as both modalities allow for me and the client to work together to chart a path forward and take control of their lives. I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for teens and young adults who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions, relationships, and social pressures. This often takes the form of problem behaviors, stress, anxiety, and depressive disorders. I work to help my clients navigate these transition periods and to build the necessary skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. My communication style is assertive, positive, accommodating, and personable. I pride myself on my ability to provide a safe environment for all of my clients through unconditional positive regard. My desire to help others who may be struggling to understand or cope with their own mental health issues is what attracted me to a career as a therapist. The driving force to doing this work is knowing that through my role, as a helping professional, I can instill hope in the lives of individuals and help them become the best versions of themselves. I use a collaborative approach in setting goals with my clients. During our time together, re-evaluating goals is essential in helping my clients meet their needs and make the most out of our time together.
