About

I am a clinical psychologist with over eight years of experience providing services to a diverse group of clientele with wide ranging issues. I received my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and Masters in Clinical Psychology from Wright State University School of Professional Psychology in Dayton Ohio. I received a generalist training in my program which provided an opportunity for me to learn about a variety of clinical approaches in intervening with clients which has allowed me to be effective when working with a host of presenting issues.

Over the past eight years, I have also had the honor of working solely with refugees, immigrants, and individuals from marginalized communities leading to my interest and commitment to multicultural and cross-cultural counseling to bloom. I believe that our identities play a great role in the ways in which we see the world and the world sees us, which can sometimes be burdensome resulting in internal as well as external conflicts. As such, I prioritize aspects of identity and culture in my work with clients, exploring the ways in which identity variables influence the way you navigate the world around you.

I consider myself to be integrative in my approach to intervention which means that I utilize a variety of modalities in order to address the issues that clients present with. I believe that you are the expert on your life and your needs, so I strive to honor that by listening and then working collaboratively to develop goals for our work together. I utilize a variety of approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapies, and Interpersonal Therapy.
