Hello,

I’m Abbey—a licensed clinical social worker in Rhode Island and Massachusetts specializing in family and young adult issues. I have provided individual, group, and family therapy in a variety of settings throughout my career. I’ve worked with people with a number of different mental health diagnoses struggling with stressors such as family challenges, trauma, grief/loss, school/work stress, suicidal thoughts, navigating relationships, and peer conflict. These extensive experiences in community, residential, and inpatient environments have shaped me into a well-rounded clinician who is able to tailor effective treatment plans for each one of my clients.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My objective is to create a safe place to discuss what is important to you in your life and work together toward your goals for the therapeutic process. My approach most often combines techniques from cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and mindfulness counseling, but I’m able to customize dialogue and treatment to meet your specific needs. Of note, at this time I am only offering messaging support and live chats.
