About

I am Aaron White, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who works with those who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, lack self-esteem, relationship issues, stress management, parenting challenges, racial identity, and work/life balance. I also work with those experiencing multiple areas of grief and loss: loss of a relationship, loss of loved one, or the loss of job. My goal is to help you reduce your negative self-talk, feelings of overwhelm, and stress. I am committed to helping you get to a point where your life is manageable again. My approach I believe in taking a strength-based and client-centered approach to therapy. What this means is that we will work collaboratively by building trust and establishing great rapport that will impact change in your life. I have experience and training using Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Grief Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. My focus My areas of expertise include anxiety, grief, trauma, work/life balance, stress management, racial inequity, romantic relationships, school challenges, phase of life issues, and self-esteem. My communication style My role is to serve as guide for your development and journey. I will meet you with the utmost empathy, respect, and patience. I believe we as people have the capacity to change and the resiliency to live life authentically. My journey to mental healthcare I decided to pursue mental health counseling after playing NCAA Division I basketball and teaching English abroad in South Korea. I realized my passion for establishing interpersonal relationships as well as my love for working with people. During my career as a mental health practitioner, I have worked in non-profits, school-based therapy, and outpatient clinics. My goals for you I want to be able to assist and collaborate with to set goals and help you reach them.
