Personal Statement
It is important not to just survive the life we’re living but to thrive, making the most out of every day. I work with individuals—children, adolescents, and adults—couples, families and groups to achieve this type of fulfillment. It is important to me to ensure that the client-therapist relationship supports and encourages self-discovery, growth, and empowerment. Each person has within them innate strengths that can become the catalyst for renewal and resolution.
I specialize in treating a variety of challenges, using an array of therapeutic techniques. I work with clients regarding anxiety, PTSD, symptoms from abuse (physical, sexual, and emotional), depression, low self-esteem, communication and boundary issues, life changes and transitions, self-harm, family conflict, fears and phobia, stress management, parenting issues, and relationship conflicts. For relationship problems, I am trained to use Prepare and Enrich, and Gottman Therapy.
I recognize that each person is unique in their own way and through the therapeutic process we will find what best helps you as an individual. I use a variety of therapy techniques to address problems. For people dealing with difficulties post-trauma, I offer EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) and hypnotherapy. These methods usually provide immediate results and relief, and I have enjoyed many successes.
