Personal Statement
I believe that the therapeutic relationship must be based on mutual respect, trust and honesty. I convey that the entire world is based on thoughts, beliefs and perceptions at that particular time in history, and I will provide hope by assuring you that this perception of reality changes with time and circumstance. There may be times when you need to borrow my hope to gain confidence.
At VCS we work together with individuals, couples and families, by helping them feel understood while empowering them toward more effective patterns of thinking ,feeling and interacting. We provide a warm and supportive atmosphere where clients can express their feelings, communicate their problems and feel respected and understood.
It is our core belief that all persons should feel accepted for who they are. We emphasize that when a person is living in a secure state of mind they will be able to locate solutions to any problem encountered.
We offer a variety of services which include individual, couple and family therapy. We have several groups for men, women, anger management and positive parenting. We are Rule 25 Chemical Use Assessors. We are certified in the pre-marital counseling program of PREPARE/ENRICH. We look forward to meeting you and working towards your personal goals together.
