Personal Statement
The death of a loved one can be overwhelming. We may ask, "Why did this happen? How can I withstand all this pain?" Our experience may present unique circumstances: a lack of support, being 'the rock' for others, feelings of guilt, or taking on new responsibilities. Some of us also experience loss that society dismisses or diminishes in some way, such as loss due to miscarriage, death of a same-sex partner, and loss due to suicide or drug overdose. I offer a Grief Healing Program which recognizes factors such as these and attends to your personal experience.
There are two-week and four-week programs, both comprised of four sessions. Each offers a supportive, therapeutic environment, and a thorough assessment that focuses on your unique circumstances. We develop a Grief Healing Plan that sets goals and identifies specific actions to help you reach them.
After completing the program you will know what to do to continue healing, and you will feel capable of doing so. I can include more details on the program and the Grief Healing Packet you will receive upon completion.
