Personal Statement

As every individual, couple and family is unique, I provide you with skills and informative coaching to meet your needs in light of your specific situation. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have extensive experience in assisting individuals meet personal objectives. I incorporate current / past issues when they interfere with your current goals, enabling your current strengths with a wellness perspective.

I am retired military with 23 years active duty service. I provide counseling with different branches of the military and families from Gowen Field and Mountain Home AFB, where I understand the diverse stressors involved. I have 5 children and 3 grandchildren from my Navy son-in-law and daughter. I personally understand not only military family difficulties due to the military environment.

I also understand typical family stressors where daily life variables that can make things complicated. It can be overwhelming with many potential sources of difficulties, such as chronic pain, PTSD, trauma, etc. Blended families with children involved have unique stressors. Extended families and children of all ages / backgrounds all present different types of opportunities where specific developmental life situations are involved. I am available to assist you.

My unique approach comes from being dual licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I blend your individual goals with applicable family approaches, designed to meet your desired results.

I specialize in addictions, grief, trauma and crisis, depression and anxiety, relationship issues, anger and resentment, and how these internal areas interfere with relationships. I am EMDR and Theophostics trained.
