Personal Statement

I work from the premise that people are experts on their own lives and that making desired changes is possible for all. I provide a safe space for collaborative and creative problem solving, exploration of one's own needs and desires, and strengthening communication in relationships.

When working with couples, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy, known as EFT. This approach helps conflictual couples find their way back to connection through increasing awareness of emotions and identifying needs. Engaging in this work allows couples to communicate with one another in a way enhances closeness.

I specialize in working with adults dealing with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, loneliness, depression and disappointment. I assist in clarifying values and strengths, while cultivating practices in areas where changes are desired. In my couples work, I specialize in treating conflictual couples, premarital couples, and couples healing from betrayal.
