Personal Statement
It is through growth that positive change occurs. It can be difficult to achieve personal growth on our own, however, and sometimes we need an objective perspective to guide us on our journey toward reflection and renewal.
Providing services for individuals, couples, and families, I specialize in treating people who have experienced or are experiencing sexual/domestic abuse; sexual addiction; family conflict; anger issues; mood, behavioral, and emotional disorders/issues; eating disorders; depression; substance abuse; self-harm/suicidal ideation; parenting issues; trauma/posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD); poor coping skills; GLBT issues; and other challenges.
I use a variety of methods to treat clients, including art and play therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), family systems and family/marital therapies, and solution focused brief therapy. Depending on the needs of clients, I can also approach therapy from a humanistic and interpersonal perspective. Whatever the level of treatment you desire and need and whatever your goals, let me support and encourage you through the process.
My passion is working with families! Families are important no matter who is a part of the family. Life surprises us all with unexpected problems and our purpose is to navigate through life's challenges without letting fear stop us in having a happier life. When you are challenged and feel frustrated without an end in site utilize therapy to help you reach your goals.
