Personal Statement
Looking for guidance when life situations are overwhelming is a sign of health and maturity. I believe in emphasizing and building on strengths and connecting with abilities with which you may have lost connection. My commitment to you is to be active in the process of your discovery in counseling. I will give you input and observations and will not just be a passive listener. Together, we can find solutions to your concerns. You CAN turn things around and make progress.
I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and help people to avoid relapse risks, overcome obstacles, and move on to a life of sobriety. My experience as a recovering alcoholic/addict with more than 28 years sobriety helps me relate to others who want to be sober.
The subconscious mind is a powerful ally. I am a Certified Diplomate in Clinical Hypnotherapy with over 22 years of experience in using clinical hypnosis to clear traumas, reduce fears and phobias, end habits like smoking or other addictions, and help with weight loss, sports enhancement, pain management, or additional personal issues.
