Personal Statement
As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, I believe that during your life there comes a time when being able to reach out and talk about lifes issues is a mark of taking charge of your future. While it is a challenge to talk to someone that you just met, it can help you look inside to the answers that are waiting for you. Being able to "unpack the baggage" of your life gives you the perspective of where you have been, how you arrived at this point, and where you want to go.
I believe that as one goes through life, everyone encounters "bumps in the road" that can cause confusion, hurt, pain, and fears that we are not sure what to do about these reactions. Talking to another person can provide clarity, support, and lift the veil to show us what is really happening and help us decide what we want to do. I look forward to "unpacking" the baggage of your life and finding the secrets that lie within you to create the future that your desire for yourself.
One can choose to remove it by looking at our history and how the bump came to cause these reactions or we choose to accept that bumps are part of our life experiences. Usually these "bumps" involve relationships that are creating struggles.
I rely on a eclectic approach to these issues that involves our thinking, our feelings, our past experiences, and our view of ourselves in our environments. I look forward to helping you process these issues.
