Personal Statement
I specialize working with men on their relationship issues as well as their addictive and compulsive behaviors. I work with clients usually in long term, psychoanalytically oriented therapy. I believe that what happened to us in the past matters and when things feel unresolved or stuck in order to move forward we need to attend to them first. Psychotherapy begins when you come as you are—with your difficulties and pain—but without knowing fully what you need to do next.
It's a unique process where, as your therapist, I learn your reality, where you are now, and then where you want to be. My goal for my clients is to understand their struggles and their strengths, in order to create constructive, sustainable change.
Not everyone achieves this place early on, but it is up to you to get there. Finding balance, feeling happy and at your best, requires work and diligence to find what needs to be “remodeled,” what needs to be repaired and redesigned.
