Personal Statement

It's time to work on your relationship problems. I help individuals, couples, and families with communication issues and difficulties with trust. I believe that YOU hold the potential to change your life through hard work & reflection. My role is both the collaborator & guide, hearing your story & helping you grow understanding & insight so that a new empowering story can be written. This involves exploring deeply held behavior and thinking patterns. I also value a culturally-sensitive approach. I believe that is helpful to work with someone who understands your cultural background & "gets" where you come from.

I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a technique that accelerates the healing of past trauma.

Outside of private practice, Reba works as an Adjunct Professor and Clinical Supervisor at California Baptist University. At Machado Family Counseling, your story is key to unlocking a stronger self!
