Personal Statement

Seeking transformation through therapy is courageous and empowering. What change requires is to expose yourself to the challenges you face. During this process you must also learn to rely upon your personal strengths for guidance. This path can be difficult when traveled alone. Please, allow me to support your efforts through professional and compassionate expertise.

The areas of my expertise include children and adolescents, trauma, PTSD, autism/Asperger’s, grief, anxiety, depression, and other mood and mental health disorders. I also provide counseling and life coaching for parenting, peer relationships, and spirituality.

Meeting with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, I work to help individuals and groups through many of life’s challenges. I use a number of psychotherapeutic techniques to meet individual needs, such as cognitive behavioral, holistic, and trauma focused therapies. I facilitate art therapy groups and mural construction in schools, community centers, and elderly care facilities. I have a Doctor of Medicine degree and am from the former Yugoslavia; I am fluent in Serbian language.
