Personal Statement

Everyone experiences stress, challenges, and disappointment in life. I believe therapy can be a beneficial tool to assist those who are hurting, dissatisfied, or unsure about how to move forward in life.

I will provide a nonjudgmental, warm, and collaborative environment to hear and address your needs, no matter how big or small. I have experienced success working with many different people from a wellness perspective; attending to the emotional, physical, mental, environmental, & spiritual continuum of life that directly impact overall health. My goal is always to work with you to increase wellness in your identified areas of need so you can be your best self. I believe my life experiences, training, education and professional experiences in the fields of therapy and counseling give me a unique perspective and the experience needed to help you experience enhanced wellness.

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Supervisor (LISW-S) and the owner of NGU Wellness. I have a Master’s degree from The Ohio State University and I am currently working on a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University (expected 2022). I've worked in the mental health field for 20 years doing clinical work, teaching, supervising, and conducting research.
