Personal Statement

I provide an environment that is empathetic, warm, compassionate & enthusiastic - an environment that facilitates personal change and growth. Since relationships & communication are central to so many of the issues we face, I specialize in Imago Therapy, the revolutionary relationship counseling techniques of Dr. Harville Hendrix. With Imago our issues and conflicts aren't the problem, they're the solution: they're signposts pointing the way toward healing the true, underlying causes. Imago teaches you how to safely explore these deeper emotional undercurrents together, so that your disagreements can actually become opportunities for greater intimacy, as you learn about each other.

My clinical focus is to help couples, parents and children enjoy better relationships & communication. I help couples learn how to better understand each other so that they can truly be themselves, yet stay connected & intimate. I also help parents to develop strong, respectful, engaging and productive relationships with their children.

I am a bicultural & bilingual (Spanish) therapist. I am an Imago certified therapist and a certified facilitator for the "Prepare and Enrich" program for couples.
