Personal Statement

My specialty is couple's therapy with a focus on the interrelatedness of problems with our contexts, perspectives, beliefs, and emotions. I work for long-term changes rather than surface-level fixes. I consider it an honor to walk with clients as they make changes.

I respect my clients and consider them the experts of their own lives. My goal is to work collaboratively with my clients to to discover patterns that are perpetuating the identified problem. This helps to ensure that the client is able to tackle new problems better in the future.

She is well versed in identifying unhelpful patterns of interactions and working with the client on how to change. Her specialty is in relational therapy for couples, premarital and family and individual therapy.

Her main aim is long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes while guiding the client all through the process. Problems are related to an individual’s beliefs, perspectives and emotions. One of Mrs. McAllister’s core values is respect for each and every client. This enables her to forge collaborative relations with her clients.
