Personal Statement
After practicing privately and independently in Orange, CT since 2012 Michael Crane formed Broadview Counseling and Assessment LLC to expand mental health support services for children, couples, working professionals, and families. Michael is a certified School Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor.
Michael has worked in various public schools, private schools, and mental health organizations since 2004. He has greatly enjoyed working to improve outcomes of individuals with a wide range of presenting problems at all levels of the developmental continuum. Michael is licensed in the State of Connecticut as a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a Certified School Psychologist in Connecticut.
Michael continues to practice full time at a public high school in Connecticut as a school psychologist and is involved with various school and district improvement initiatives in addition to doing a great deal of counseling, assessment, and consultation. Michael has experience working with individuals of all ages with social, emotional, behavioral and adjustment difficulties. His specializations include anxiety and depression with adolescents, couples counseling, and men’s issues. His therapeutic orientation is generally cognitive and behavioral in nature.
