Personal Statement
I work with individual adults, teens and couples. My approach is warm, interactive and solution-focused. I believe that everyone has strengths, but during stressful times or transitions in their lives they may need help accessing those strengths. It can also be very helpful during challenging time in our lives to have an objective professional give us feedback, support, perspective and guidance to make positive changes.
I also help families through difficult transitions. Transitions can be any change, big or small, that puts stress on a family such as a job change or a teen wanting more independence. I focus on helping individuals, couples and families learn problem solving techniques, enhance communication and minimize stress.
I specialize in helping parents transition through separation/divorce. I offer co-parenting counseling for parents to help them communicate effectively around day to day parenting issues related to the children. I also help parents navigate the changes that occur through separation, such as parenting in separate households with two different parenting styles, managing conflict, talking to your children about the divorce, keeping the children out of parental issues and maintaining structure and consistency.
