Personal Statement

Melissa has been working in the human services field for many years working on projects such as mental health outreach and advocacy, child abuse prevention through outreach and education, and developing award winning youth advocacy and education programs. Therapy is one of the most personal and difficult things someone can do. Because of this, I tailor my services and training to the unique needs of each of my clients. I offer several forms of therapy including group.

After completing her Masters in Social Work at Boston College, she has been practicing as a mental health therapist and clinical care coordinator for children, adolescents and adults and is currently working on her doctorate through Smith College while running her group practice and continuing to see clinical clients and teach at various colleges and universities.
