Personal Statement
Would you like to improve your relationships? Your job? Or other life situations? I strive to help clients experience immediate relief from problems by shifting perspective and working on the development of new skills. Life transitions like a new relationship, loss, marriage, divorce or job change can be challenging and may require outside help. I provide an unconditionally accepting environment to help you explore solutions that lead to meaningful, long-term results.
Philosophically I believe that difficult times can be viewed as an opportunity to change. The quote "life begins at the end of your comfort zone" illustrates the principle that emotional and spiritual growth are possible by expanding your limits. Worthwhile efforts become more comfortable with practice and repetition.
Clinical experience has included work with couples, families and individuals around addiction, life transitions, family conflict, bereavement, trauma, depression and anxiety. My work is heavily influenced by John Gottman's research as well as Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy. Using a collaborative approach, we work toward solutions to specified goals.

Therapists find that people sometimes have a good solution but use it at the wrong time, in the wrong way or at the wrong level of intensity. Individual psychotherapy, marriage counseling or family therapy can help you to identify what is not working and help you initiate changes that will get you "unstuck" to improve the quality of your life and relationships.
