Personal Statement
When we work together, it is as two authentic people. My role is to provide perspective, support, encouragement, and to use my clinical skills to help you achieve your goals. I ask that you be an active participant in the counseling process by openly and sincerely working in the moment during the counseling session as well as completing 'homework' activities.
In practice he uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help people move towards a life of vitality. More recently, he began using his years of recreational engagement in Dungeons and Dragons as a tool for helping adolescents and adults build social skills, problem solving skills, and to overcome social isolation and social anxiety.
For individuals seeking career counseling, comprehensive career assessments as well as feedback and follow-up counseling sessions are available. During these sessions, we will assess and review vocational preferences, skills, abilities, and aptitudes, as well as work values. Resume and networking training can also be provided upon request.
