Personal Statement
Despite your best efforts, sometimes it seems impossible to move on from a painful or traumatic experience. Even if you don’t understand the pain, fear, or sadness that you feel, it doesn’t make it any less destructive. Simply put, you’re not living the life you’d like to, and you can’t find a path toward health and happiness. I am a compassionate and experienced psychotherapist that can help you. I would like to work alongside you to understand the root of your emotional distress and find a way to alleviate its symptoms.
I offer a psychodynamic approach to therapy for adults, who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relationship conflicts, and major life transitions. I have a great understanding of cross-cultural influences, as I have spent many years working overseas. I also have extensive experience working with women who face post-partum depression, anxiety over adoption, and other pregnancy issues. The objective of my practice is to provide clients with context into the events and behaviors that have stunted their personal growth and inhibited their happiness.
