Personal Statement
Understanding individuals and their stories is my work. I use a system's approach, which means that I understand individuals in the context of their family and through multiple generations. My therapy is structural and skill based, as well as educational. My goal is to teach individuals and families to understand themselves so that they are not dependent on me.
I believe in marriage and take great joy in helping couples save theirs, but I also help people divorce safely and without harming their children. Each story is different, each journey individual.
My focus is to assist couples re-engage, to help children learn and thrive, and assist every individual I meet with finding a healthier, more joyful place in the world. To me this is the essential element of life and by sharing the knowledge I have, my hope is that my clients will grow and thrive.
Marisa Giuliani-O’Keefe has spent the last fourteen years working with families and couples in the public school systems as a guidance counselor, as well as, in a therapeutic environment. People are her passion and her many years of dedication to these efforts are clear.
