Personal Statement
Many of my clients are emotionally sensitive, creative, and caring adults who sometimes find they are giving too much, then feeling drained and exhausted. Many have symptoms of depression and/or anxiety, and often find themselves in unsatisfying relationships with those who struggle with serious addictions or behavioral problems.
I also work with young people who are struggling to navigate the transition between adolescence and adulthood due to significant mood changes, or conflict with parents and family. My clients report that they find therapy very effective in helping them develop greater inner strength, self-mastery, and positive self-worth. Their investment in themselves pays off richly, as they continue to grow long after therapy has ended.
Every day, I find myself just as excited by the process of growth and healing as I ever was: teaching, practicing and learning in every class with every student, in every session with every client, and in every interaction with colleagues and mentors in my field. As long as we are living together on this planet, we have opportunities to learn from each other.
