Personal Statement

I'm a licensed professional counselor. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of North Texas and then continued my education at Dallas Baptist University and received my Master's in Counseling. I structure my counseling with the premise that the foundation of a good therapeutic relationship requires that the client feel comfortable and trust the therapist they choose in order to truly benefit from counseling. In turn the client is able to safely and confidently explore their issues which can help them identify their authentic self and to know their purpose in life.

As a counselor, my goal is to provide hope and the right tools for my client's to live a more fulfilling life. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as other eclectic methods to meet the client's needs. I honor the strengths you have and work to build on them. I am a Certified Anger Management Specialist I (CAMS-I) offering counseling to groups and individuals of all ages.
