Personal Statement
Often times my clients come to me after working with other therapists. They say that their previous therapist was helpful on some things, but that the progress didn't really "stick" or they felt that the therapist was telling them to do things that didn't fit for them personally.
I don't see my clients as problems, rather I help my clients identify the real problem in their lives and help them develop their own strategies to stand up to the problem. There is no one-size fits all with therapy, and I work with you to find the best methods for you.
I specialize in working with adolescents, relationships, and LGBTQ populations. Often times my clients are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, shame, guilt, body image concerns, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, discrimination in their daily lives, and insecurity. When working with relationships, many of my clients experience lack of trust, infidelity, miscommunication, frequent conflict, negativity, unsatisfactory sex life, jealousy, and resentment.
You are not alone in your struggles. I see you as the expert in your life, and I am trained to help you use your expertise to distance yourself from the problems that have taken control.
