Personal Statement
I am passionate about working with adolescents and their families. Clients find me most helpful when aiding them to process trauma, life transitions, identity formation, grief and loss, communication barriers, and day-to-day struggles. Most of my work is grounded in exploring, establishing, strengthening, and maintaining a healthy relationship to one's self.
I grew up in the hill country of Texas and to this day find great restoration in nature. Daily, I aim to find balance of mind, body, and spirit- some days it is easier than others. I am a home cook; novice yogi; dog treat dispenser; and an avid fan of the arts, travel, and live music in small venues
My work is rooted in empirically supported methods and theory and framed by creative, heart-led techniques. I am incredibly drawn to alternative methods and often use art, guided imagery exercises, yoga, and mindfulness practices in sessions.
