Personal Statement

I work best with adolescents and young adults who are contemplating change. My counseling philosophy comes from a person-centered, client-driven approach. I believe that each individual has the power to recognize what their therapeutic needs are and maybe even how to address them; I am here to provide gentle guidance and perhaps some different perspective to bring awareness to patterns of thought and behavior, therefore facilitating your desire for change.

While I enjoy and feel competent working with both genders, I have a true passion for issues common to the female journey and feel a pull to focus my work on guiding girls and young women through struggles such as body image, self-esteem, and healthy lifestyle choices.

I look forward to helping you move forward. Creating intention, identifying solutions, setting goals, and working to achieve your goals will get you where you want to be. I embrace the idea of "leading from behind" and will be behind you every step of the way.
