Personal Statement
My areas of expertise include trauma and PTSD, depression, and relationship issues. I mostly work with families who are experiencing a major life transition: moving a parent to long-term care, a child leaving the home, or a serious medical diagnosis. Many of my clients are military families and couples looking for guidance through a divorce, separation, or a need to keep their marriage intact. Change and growth are difficult yet necessary. I believe that grief is a natural part of this process, and I can offer you the professional guidance needed to get through it.
With compassion and the proper encouragement, most people can manage the symptoms that arise from the challenges they face, be it depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and traumatic experience. I also help people cope with and make positive changes regarding infertility, narcissistic personality, domestic and sexual abuses, obesity, infidelity, sexual addiction, grief, emotional disturbance, and other difficult issues.
My approach is from an engendered psychoanalytic perspective, which observes and identifies the thoughts and behaviors that prevent us from developing. Whether you need this insight for personal growth or to heal a tender relationship, I want to be beside you through this process.
