Personal Statement
Feelings of depression, anxiety, loss or unexpected life circumstances oftentimes have a crushing way of throwing one off balance. At an emotionally vulnerable time, it may seem even more challenging to take care of oneself and to seek help through therapy. In a safe, empathic, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment, I provide culturally sensitive psychotherapy and counseling to adults. I believe that by working with people to help them recognize the origin of their emotional distress, will allow them to pull on their strengths to overcome these challenges and gain a deeper level of personal insight.
My goal is to empower you by identifying the issues at hand, focusing on your strengths and the goals you want to achieve. This collaborative process will help facilitate your own unique pathways toward growth and change.
I specialize in working with parents of children with special needs. As a parent you are often overwhelmed with your responsibilities, finding it difficult to focus on your own feelings and emotions. I will work with you to help you understand your grief, loss and anger, that encompasses parenting a child with special needs.
