Personal Statement
Making change is never easy, but if you are willing to try then I can be there to help you along the way. I believe my role as a therapist is to collaborate, support, and provide feedback to help you make positive changes to reach your goals. My approach is client centered, empathetic and direct; often laced with a fair amount of humor. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, focusing on what best suits your needs.
I can play on the floor with children, mediate conflict between family members, provide motivation and psychoeducation for change, or simply sit and listen as you share your story. I consider myself a generalist who is willing to work with a variety of clients. I enjoy working with children, teenagers, families, and couples. I have experience working with mood disorders; addictions of all types; co-occurring disorders; anxiety disorders; personality disorders; and LGBTQ issues. I can also provide substance abuse evaluations.
Ms. Dublinske received a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Kansas and a Masters' in Counseling from Doane College in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her interests and areas of expertise include teens and families, addiction counseling, dual diagnosis, and treatment of anxiety disorders. Her previous employment includes human service work with at-risk youth, caseworker, and addictions/dual diagnosis counselor.
