Personal Statement
I believe that my clients are the experts on their own life and therapy should be a collaborative experience. While I bring a level of training and expertise, we work together to set realistic goals and achieve an outcome that is helpful to the client. I also believe my clients are people with strengths, resources and great potential. Although they may struggle with concerns that meet criteria for a specific diagnosis, the diagnosis does not accurately describe who they are.
Therapy should always consider the whole person; recognizing the complex balance of mind, body, spirit and one's personal/social environment. My practice is open to clients regardless of gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, spiritual beliefs, no religious or spiritual beliefs, abilities, sexual orientation or relationship status.
