Personal Statement

I work with individuals and couples to help them with the stressors of life; addictions, sexual issues, mental health issues and abuse all take a toll on our relationships. My approach to therapy is based on the care that I have for my clients and desire for them to feel understood. I strongly believe in establishing a relationship of equals and mutual respect between therapist and client. I am a research-based therapist, which means that the information and tools I teach have been proven by research to be effective for long-lasting changes.

I have experience treating relationships and marriages around communication issues, conflict resolution, rebuilding trust, loss of intimacy, depression, anxiety, coping skills and abuse in relationships. I've gained experience treating relationships and chronic mental health issues in various settings including psychiatric and addictions hospitals and private practice groups.

My clients come to trust their feelings, their thoughts, and behaviors. They become what they've always been -- creative problem-solvers and decision-makers in charge of their life choices. I offer you an opportunity to begin living life fully and with confident self-awareness
