Personal Statement

Each client seeking therapy has unique difficulties, and unique strengths. The best solutions for difficulties and challenges are the solutions that work for you and your family. I use an eclectic and holistic approach, drawing from insight oriented, psycho-dynamic, cognitive behavioral, art, play and expressive therapies, to find the best fit for each client. I have experience with adults, children (0-18), couples and families. I have worked with clients dealing with depression, bipolar, trauma, anxiety, grief, attachment and behavioral problems, developmental delays and difficulties, adhd, autism and PDD, selective mutism, tourettes, and sensory problems.

I hold an MSW from the University of Maryland, and advance certificates in Adoptions, and Early Childhood Mental Health, and additional training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I've completed the Level 1 Trauma Training with Lisa Ferentz, LCSW-C.

I also have experience with adoptions and foster care, transracial adoptions, family guardianship arrangements, and special education services. I have advanced training in Adoptions & Mental Health, and Early Childhood Mental Health.
