Personal Statement
Lasting change occurs in therapy when one identifies and works through their concerns that have been outside their awareness. I develop a non-judgmental, intimate working alliance with my clients, in order to facilitate this self-understanding, both emotionally and intellectually. Such work fosters growth and creative responses to long standing difficulties in relationship to one's self and others. In return for investing themselves fully, my clients are offered the freedom to be more completely who they are, while also being able to maintain close and fulfilling relationships.
I work to create an emotional environment that feels safe. The ability to be curious and to explore thoughts and feelings about one's self and one's experience with others is fostered. Do give me a call to talk about your concerns and to assess whether I might be of help.
I typically see clients once a week. Sessions may be more frequent should the client and I deem that beneficial. I have an expertise born of many years of experience and on-going training. I believe I'm good at creating a close working relationship with a wide range of people. Feeling rapport with one's therapist is essential to successful outcomes.
