Personal Statement
Need some guidance? Feeling hopeless? Tearful? Angry? Stuck, like you have run out of options or have nowhere to turn to? Worried about yourself, child, family? Whether things have always been challenging or not, you have a unique and innate ability to gain insight and grow. You have made the first courageous step in finding guidance and care for yourself or a loved one. I will help by providing a supportive role to help you work through any challenge, to achieve your goals, and to feel hopeful again.
My passion and specialty is working with children / teens, varying in cultural backgrounds. I work with children / families of divorce, separation, abuse; who deal with anger, depression, anxiety. I provide behavioral services to special needs children in homes. I also have worked with women of domestic violence and have run parenting or emotional management groups.
I utilize a unique combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, as well as Art Therapy. Whether you are truly stuck or worried or just need some guidance, I am here to support you every step of the way. I offer an honest and, at times, even humorous space in which I will actively listen to your concerns and hopes, explore and reflect on thoughts and feelings, and in detail create a plan with you to help your child heal and grow in a safe and creative way so that they can internalize positive experiences and bring confidence with them into adulthood.
