Personal Statement

The challenges that we face in life can usher in a wave of emotions that can hurt and discourage us. We may struggle with relationship or marital conflicts. Grief and bereavement may have us surviving each day in a cloud of sadness. It’s possible that issues like infertility can bring unwanted despair and stress into our lives. You are not alone. Each of us experience difficult situations, but each of us can also work through related emotions and learn to find a healthier and happier way of living.

I provide psychotherapeutic services for individuals, couples, and families. Adolescents, adults, and the aging are welcome to explore and discuss their concerns in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment. I specialize in counseling services for parents, couples, grief, and “HMR” trauma resolution coaching. I offer guidance and encouragement to my clients regarding parent/child relationships, single parenting, premarital counseling, blended and remarried families, separation and divorce, career issues, college anxiety, women returning to work, transitions to retirement, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and infertility.

I implement a complementary blend of modalities to treat the people in my care. Brief therapy, solution-based therapy, problem-solving techniques, and EFT are a few methods I use to assist schools, community organizations, and other professionals. The experiences I have as a therapist, educator, and family member (child, parent, and grandparent) help to inform my practice and guide others to recovery and wellness.
