Personal Statement

I am a youth and family therapist, and I enjoy working with children, teens, and parents in order to discover the meaning behind emotional distress and challenging behaviors. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive environment which allows you and your child to comfortably explore and work through difficult emotions and challenges. We will work together on creating goals, working towards those goals, and leaving therapy with tools and skills you can use outside of therapy and throughout life.

While I always work from a client-centered approach, I have additional training in play therapy, positive behavior support, family systems theory, attachment theory, psychodynamic theory, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe that every client is unique, so I tailor my therapeutic approach to fit the needs of each client while providing a safe and supportive environment for the therapy process.
