Personal Statement

Dr. Kellam began seeing clients in 1992 during her graduate studies. She sees adults, children, couples and families and has had experience dealing with a wide variety of problems including: depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders (including Aspergers), oppositional defiant disorder, personality disorders, anxiety, panic disorder, social phobia, trauma, grief and marital and relationship difficulties.

Dr. Kellam enjoys public speaking and has spoken at many community organizations and at the University of North Texas Play Therapy Institute. She has several publications on relationship enhancement. Her most current is entitled “The Parent Survival Guide: From Chaos to Harmony in 10 weeks or Less”.

She has also co-authored the Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT ) Treatment Manual with Dr. Garry Landreth, a world-renowned play therapist and offers workshops and training for parents, teachers and therapists. Dr. Kellam has been a visiting supervisor for graduate students at the University of North Texas and has taught psychology classes at local colleges in Human Relations, Developmental Psychology, Personality Theory and Introduction to Psychology. She is devoted to the well-being of children and families and has written and secured grants for non-profit organizations for children’s arts programs and for program development and research for parents of abused and neglected children. She has also developed treatment programs for organizations who serve children and families.
