Personal Statement
As a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of professional experience, I am trained to effectively and compassionately treat various psychological issues. I provide clinical treatment for acute problems, as well as supportive therapy for personal growth. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy to alleviate symptoms and treat anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorders, post-traumatic stress, dissociative disorders, personality disorders, sexual dysfunction, and traumas from abuse. I can also assist patients with difficulties regarding relationships and alternative lifestyle choices.
In addition to providing psychotherapy for individuals and couples, I also offer psychological assessments for legal issues, learning disabilities, adoptions, and forensic matters. I work as a consultant, making presentations and running workshops. I am also available to assist employers with short-term conflict resolution, assessments, and critical incident stress debriefing.
Because I treat individuals and not illnesses, I tailor treatment to meet an individual’s needs. Many patients may need to change their thought and/or behavior patterns to solve problems and learn to cope with their challenges. Others may need to become more self-aware and practice introspection for clarity. I welcome an open dialogue in the process of creating a treatment plan for you.
