Personal Statement
Reaching out for help can be difficult step. However, there are times in life where we feel overwhelmed, depressed, anxious and confused. At these times it is just hard to go through daily life. There can be multiple present and past events in your life that may lead you to this place of feeling stuck. My training and experience offers a confidential, respectful and empathic setting to offer you support, understanding and insight to your life to begin to assist you to move forward during these painful times.
While working with you through a therapeutic relationship, we may begin to develop a greater understanding of your present thoughts and feelings to see how they create internal psychological blocks. By becoming aware of this in your life, we may then begin to develop new and different approaches to your thinking and your emotions to allow you to experience new choices that you may not have even considered. Therapy is about growing new aspects of yourself.
In my practice I work with adults in all different stages of adulthood and many different life circumstances. Some of these areas may be struggles in relationships with others, addictions, loss, grief, parenting concerns, career conflicts, work/life balance, caretaking of elderly parents, aging. All of these areas can create different types of symptoms such as depression, anxiety, obsessional and compulsive behaviors, loss of energy and interest in life.
I encourage you to reach out so we can have the time to meet and the space to begin to think in a therapeutic manner about you and everything going on your life. Not only in your external world, but in your own internal mind. I look forward to hear from you.
