Personal Statement
Sadness, grief, anger, regret, and the granddaddy of them all: fear. Who among us hasn’t experienced these emotions sometime in life? What we seek is peace, and maybe, some contentment; yet life sometimes gets in the way.
When we are buffeted by such strong emotion where do we go to be heard and understood- and to process what we feel? Sometimes we turn to family and friends; and although this may at times be helpful, too often we find our loved ones to be just as close up on the issues as we are. During these times an outside observer can see what those involved cannot.
There can be comfort in confiding in someone who will not judge you or tell you what you are feeling is wrong; and when you are lost in the storm, offering an open ear and a gentle, guiding voice. I would like to be that voice for you, and in time, help you find your way, and your own inner voice- and more importantly, hope for tomorrow.
