Personal Statement

I'm a clinical psychologist with a specialty in women's reproductive health. I work with women and their partners on issues such as fertility, pregnancy loss, complicated and high-risk pregnancy, and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders.

I earned my doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Houston in Houston, TX. I completed my clinical internship at the University of Texas - Houston Health Sciences Center, and went on to complete an additional three years of post-doctoral training in psychosocial oncology and reproductive health at the University of Texas- M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. I am certified in the Domar Mind-Body Program for Infertility and as a Certified Gottman EducatorTM.

In addition to my private practice, I am the consulting psychologist for Women's Services at Presbyterian/ St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, CO, where I work with women on extended antenatal bedrest, as well as with families who have babies in neonatal intensive care at The Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. I am an educator for The Wishbone Foundation, an organization which provides training on perinatal bereavement and workplace grief for nurses and other healthcare providers. I also consult to the Colorado Department of Health and Environment's program on maternal mental health, serving in a variety of roles. Lastly, I serve as the director to the CO Chapter of Postpartum Support International.
