Personal Statement

The focus of my work is healing, not only physical and mental, but also spiritual and emotional, so that one can grow and reach their full potential. I work with clients of all age ranges. I do my best work with clients who are motivated to get better and are open, communicating their difficulties and symptoms as they experience them. I work with most psychiatric disorders including ADHD, mood, anxiety, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, and autism/PDD. I do have particular expertise and experience in working with ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, autism and with the MR/IDD population.

As a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, I am uniquely qualified in using a biopsychosocial formulation to observe and evaluate all of the factors that may be affecting someone while also being aware of any medical problems that could be present and not yet diagnosed. I offer evening appointments.

I prefer to take a holistic approach, stressing the importance of diet and exercise in one's well-being while also using vitamins and supplements to complement the use of more traditional psychiatric medication. Balance is essential in treatment and in one's life.
