Personal Statement
For the past 20 years I have specialized in helping people heal, restore and build healthy and deeper connections with others through relationship-focused counseling. People find help in strengthening their sense of self, confronting betrayal, resolving conflicts, communicating more effectively, developing healthy boundaries, and getting unstuck from relational boredom and decline.
My interest in and concern for personal relationships developed out of preparing people for cross-cultural service overseas. I observed that the people who succeeded in this endeavor were those who made and maintained healthy connections with others. My approach combines those observations with my own life experience, beliefs, and the best principles now guiding couples counseling.
Are you wondering if you should make up or break up? Is your relationship struggling with issues of control, betrayal, emotional distance or true intimacy? There are solutions for repairing, restoring and strengthening relationships with these kinds of difficulties.
I bring together my life experience, training and skills to identify the key issues, clarify how these currently impact one's life, offer new skills for managing them, and support the process of healing and change that is desired. I am committed to helping people overcome personal and relational difficulties, and develop meaningful connections with others and a more authentic expression of themselves.
